Top tips
  • Get a rock-solid inside leg hang first.
  • Warm up your back and shoulders thoroughly.
  • Warm up your front splits well - you will need to use active flexibility on the legs.
  • Keep the free leg actively pointing and reaching to create the long line the Allegra is known for.
  • Learn it over a crash mat and come in and out of the release slowly until it's familiar. Ideally, always try first with a spotter.
